Think about it; they can't get rid of a load of characters for no reason, the producers may have to adapt a little for the actors' needs, too - season 9 seems good to go and I believe that we will at least see Harry, Lucas, Tariq and Ruth from the start. I read somewhere also that NW has said we will get new faces for next year; not sure where this was from though.

Doesnt the filming take place over many many months? That allows for the actors to be involved in other projects so I wouldnt worry that NW is involved in another project next year. If you have a look at PF's TV and film work over the last 7 years, he has done plenty, home and abroad.

I was easily confused yesterday regardless. My brain was mush.

So lwhite53 and I lost our imaginative bet on the date of an announcement, so I'll go all or nothing and say we'll find out Monday either way whether the series is getting renewed or not.

Ok, I'm very positive about a 9th series, so I'll say erm.... On Tuesday we'll get this announcement: "Spooks recommisioned for 9th series, which will be the last one"
