I was very intrigued by Connie's death.. She was a traitor, and she killed Ben, but she was willing to give her life for MI5.. Why did she do it? Did she regret what she'd done? She surprised me, first because she was a traitor, then because she saved London.

Tom's exit makes the most sense to me. Plus it's always interesting to see a spy develop a conscience. I can't say I could see him leaving any other way.

If I am going on emotions then Danny's and Ruth's exit really got me. I can watch those scenes time and time again as they are beautifully played out. Both Danny and Ruth did not deserve their endings whilst the likes of Tom, Zoe, and maybe even Adam deserved theirs.

I think I've said elsewhere that Tom's exit affected me like no other, like bertowud I empathised with it. But it's Zaf that really breaks me. As Jo says "Zaf [died] alone in fear and agony" and his last act as an agent that we know of was to save Adam with the grenade, and that beautiful shot of him from directly behind his head.

I do find Colin and Ben moving though, not because I particularly liked the characters but because is there anything more senseless than being killed by someone who's meant to be on your side? Even more insane than strapping yourself to a bomb.

And I find it so sad that scene with Malcolm, Harry and Adam responding to Colin's death. It makes me cry every time.

Danny. We had followed the character for so long. And the emotional intensity of that moment was just jaw-dropping.
