RE: Recent convert! - bertowud - 05-04-2010 02:23 PM Welcome to the forum! RE: Recent convert! - picard1109 - 06-04-2010 12:46 PM Thanks for the welcome, everyone (and the advice about spoilers!). Shazia: yep, I am a dyed-in-the-wool Trekker and love all series (except DS9...tedious) but particularly ST-TOS and ST-TNG. I was going to choose a Spooky username but I'd probably forget it, so I stuck to the one I use everywhere else. I also like Ashes to Ashes (Gene Hunt...what a guy!!) and Hustle (for Ash Morgan/Glenister Major). Those people at Kudos sure do know how to develop good television, don't they?! RE: Recent convert! - crazycyclist - 07-04-2010 08:28 PM I thought I'd drop in and say hi too! I'm a bit of a long time lurker (and probably need to break this habit!) I've only just recently started watching Ashes to Ashes, in fact I managed to spend the better part of the Easter weekend glued to it! I just love all that 80s stuff, being a child of the 80s it's odd seeing stuff I vaguely remember but never understood at the time! Absolutely love that Quattro... But Spooks remains my first love... RE: Recent convert! - Nitrus - 07-04-2010 08:30 PM Welcome to the forum to you too! Where you from? RE: Recent convert! - Tea Lady - 07-04-2010 09:02 PM Welcome to the pair of you. ![]() RE: Recent convert! - Aria - 07-04-2010 10:04 PM Welcome to the forum crazycyclist. Glad you decided to de-lurk!!! RE: Recent convert! - Nitrus - 07-04-2010 10:05 PM That's a great verb shazia, might have to nick that one ![]() RE: Recent convert! - picard1109 - 07-04-2010 10:40 PM Hi, Crazycyclist. I love Ashes, too. The Gene Genie's almost as loveable as Harry. Almost. Not quite. I was 21 in 1981...and I don't remember seeing any of the clothes/hair styles that Alex wears in Ashes. It was all Sloan Rangers and power dressing...certainly as a high-powered woman she would have been power dressing. The blokes look and act right, though! Actually, I went out with a DS in the Sweeney around that time...he was sweet to me but I wouldn't like to have been a villain on his watch!! |
