Perhaps now people can be convinced of why I named this thread what I did. I am willing to bet every one of you took exception with at least one of the songs someone else put up.
But that's part of the fun - having tipsy conversations about why a song is good or not!

Dancin' in the Dark - Bruce Springsteen - (HUGE Springsteen fan! - not always danceable but luv him!)
Summer of '69 - Bryan Adams
A more "dodgey" song I can't resist dancing to...Summer Lovin' from Grease - especially fun when two groups sing the parts to each other!!
I love dancing Summer Loving too, hahaha and under the circumstances you describe
and You're the one that I want...Another Springsteen fan here
as you say not always danceable but when I hear one of his songs I smile broadly
