Have watched Spooks since the beginning and have always loved it......but Lucas has brought a whole new dimension to it.....maybe because the backstory is such a chilling reminder of the Cold War and delves into good old fashioned international espionage stuff.....
The actor playing Lucas has exactly the right mix of emotions to make the part live.......
love ep8.....it's all in there!

I have only seen season 7 so I dont have other seasons to sway my opinion but really I like everyone except that cow Connie!
Sure I adore Lucas coz I have a huge crush on Richard, but I like teh character too coz I have a thing for broken characters trying to do good.
I LOVE Roz and how nasty she can be when she has to...but I also loved those moments where her control snapped and you saw her feelings for a moment. Awesome stuff.
I though Ben was lovely and I wanted to see more of him!
Jo...first ep I am always a bit 'errr' even though i know what she had gone through, but by the third ep and the aftermath of the explosion I started to really like her.
Harry is just awesome. I have never been a fan of Peter Firth but I adore him as Harry!
And Malcolm...dude I want to be abe to do his job!
How do I choose a fave???

Favourite character in S7 .. what a cruel question!
Lucas is fascinating, a definite fave, but Ros probably nudges him out slightly in the favourite stakes. Ever since she took over section D the writers have gone to town with Ros and I love it. Just a brilliant, unique female character. She can't be beat!

Favourite character has to be Lucas. I agree Ros is excellent and has just got better and better. But Lucas is dark and enigmatic, and damage. This makes him so different from the others on the Grid who are slightly too perfect sometimes. And there is eight years in his life during which not even Harry knows exactly what has happened.

I absolutely agree with everything you've said. For me it's definitely Lucas, who isn't only dark and enigmatic but also vulnerable at times and on the other hand strong and cold-blooded if necessary.

I don't think I could possibly choose a single favourite character of any of the series; I love too many of them to choose
