RE: How Spooks Should End? - Nitrus - 25-05-2010 06:24 PM So we're going for a V for Vendetta-type ending? lol. Interesting question indeed. I guess *fingers in ears* ignoring the fact that all good things come to an end doesn't help I don't want to think about the end yet but in true Spooks style it'll probably happen suddenly and unexpectedly. Were it not to, I'd LOVE to see some ActionHarry.. before he is forced to retire on medical grounds, leaving and living with Ruth and leaving the job to Ros (one can dream, no?!?) As pointed out above, it probably depends on who's left, and also what the socio-economical-political-... situation is at the time, and how much leash the writers would be given (if any at all) Let's just hope we won't have to find out at the end of series 9.. I'll go and think of plots RE: How Spooks Should End? - bertowud - 25-05-2010 06:32 PM Think about that though. He'll probably be retired before Ruth is ready to retire. So imagine him begin retired while Ruth goes into the Grid every day. I'd think that would be a fate worse than death for him. RE: How Spooks Should End? - TygerBright - 25-05-2010 06:48 PM nah, I'm sure that if/when he retires Ruth realises that she's been through enough alright and that another year or two defending the realm while he walks the dog is not her priority. I'm absolutely no H/R fan (not that I mind them, and I like their little dance, and wish them all the best, but while their ship may be part of, it should never be more important than the actual plot).*pauses for breath* but I think unless either or both get sacrificed on the altar of unexpected and shocking storylines, there could only be one end for those two. RE: How Spooks Should End? - bertowud - 26-05-2010 12:28 AM Not only should Harry wake up in the Village, but Hurley should be looking down on him when he wakes up, "Hey, dude.". Totally fab - made my day to read it!! RE: How Spooks Should End? - spooksdreamer - 16-06-2010 08:31 AM It shouldn't. Of course. RE: How Spooks Should End? - molecatcher - 16-06-2010 10:33 AM Something spectacular and surprising has to finish the series so I'd say it has to go out with a BANG! However, Life on Mars evolved into Ashes to Ashes so why couldn't Harry survive the disaster, decide enough is enough in MI5 and contract himself out to consult a private security organisation. Hence we'd have a new Kudos series ~ "Private Harry", "Harry's Revenge" or just plain "Harry". He could recruit past colleagues to help out in a variety of adventures, the few that survived Spooks anyway, and we'd all be happy. |
