Oh and you're going to cry. A lot. Just thought I'd mention that as well Tongue

Have you seen My Sister's Keeper? Would you say it was more or less of a weepfest than that?

RE: Favourite films? - Philippa - 31-07-2010 08:59 PM

^It's on my 'to watch' list, so I can't comment on that. But I cry at everything, so I'm not really reliable.

Same, but I wept at MSK.

I still adore Bambi, and I cry at that Tongue

Well I'm a big cry-baby Tongue
It was even worse when I watched it a 2nd time. I knew what was coming so I started weeping halfway through the film.

I wept the whole way through My Sister's Keeper (well, from very early on anyway). It's a wonder I wasn't shrivelled up like a dried prune by the end of it!

I've spent most of the last few days espousing the strengths of 'The King's Speech', which is a newly favourite movie. This wonderful interview pretty much says everything I love about it. The film relies on two major points that make it work: the friendship between the King and the speech therapist and just how impossible it must be for someone who cannot speak, cannot communicate effectively.

I can't recommend this film highly enough. For me it was right up there with Inception, Toy Story 3, Easy A, In The Loop, The Kids Allright (sic) and Animal Kingdom as the best of the year.
