) had twins, and the good taste to name one Lucas, the other one might have been Simon, or Matthew... or Judas. And that's the one the Russians sent back, OUR Lucas is still behind bars...

I think we pondered that possibility somewhere before.. if only I could remember.. Skully's Spooksfanblog?!?
unfortunately I think it's something altogether more mundane.. like, Lucas was sent by CIA or MI6 to infiltrate 5.. and rob Harry's whisk(e)y stash.. without which the end would be nigh...

Aha! Now it all makes sense! No wonder Lucas has been blaming Harry about his 8 year imprisonment! The Russians were after Harry's whiskey stash all along!!!!!

As I think this is my first official post I trust that someone will gently correct me if I haven't done this appropriately.
Here is my question and it is bothering me more and more since Mr. A started saying "Lucas isn't who we think he is..." while promoting Strike Back. At the end of series 7, after Connie is blown to smithereens just after telling Lucas that she was the one who betrayed him, Lucas becomes almost frantic that he MUST speak to Harry right away which is when they realize that Harry's been taken. What was so important to Lucas that needed to be said to Harry right then...was that EVER revisited? Could Lucas been about to tell Harry that he has betrayed the service because he thought himself betrayed by Harry and others. Did that ever have an explanation? I bring my humble question to those who would know...

good and valid question, have asked myself that a few times but not found an answer yet... not sure there is one either.
I doubt however that he wanted to confess to Harry...a) because I'm still in denial over the whole Lucas/traitor angle, and b) because he would have had all of season 8 to do it.. and didn't.
I also remember RA saying something about the necessity to revisit old episodes to make sure all the tie-ins, storylines and explanations for series 9 make sense.. seems they're coming up with something rather...far-fetched.

Good eyes!! I nearly forgot about that! But I don't think he was talking about betrayal, maybe he needs to tell Harry that he doesn't blame him?

I agree with this one, surely if Lucas thought it was important to talk to Harry about, he would have already said it.
But then again, they never properly addressed the whole Harry/Lucas having a proper talk like Harry said they were going to have when Lucas first came back.

Maybe this thing that Lucas needed to talk to Harry about has to do with the Series 9 rumor of Lucas being a traitor. Maybe we will get a flashback scene to Harry and Lucas having that conversation and find out that they planned a secret op where Lucas pretend to still be a traitor to flush out the real bad guys.

hah! that's jumping the gun.. no one has said anything definitive yet about Lucas being the traitor *buries fingers in ears and head in sand* .. and I somehow don't think they'll make him a triple/quadruple/quintuple agent... that would be too easy (if ever so slightly confusing)
I wish someone else would drop a hint about some other character... guessing gag order though (which proves that RA's hints were deliberate and had the blessing of BBC/Kudos)
