I'll be watching the ball drop in NYC on TV by myself. My daughter watched it with me last year, but she's gone to her grandma's for the week. My wife is usually asleep by 11. Of course that's been the tradition with me since childhood. Starting when I was 8, I would stay up by myself to watch the ball drop. RE: Spooky Holidays - bertowud - 29-12-2009 04:21 AM LOL! How to explain this without it sounding inappropriate. In New York they have a giant lighted ball made of a bunch of crystals. When the clock hits midnight and the new year begins, it drops and fireworks go off and confetti shoots out. It's the one place Dick Clark still appears after his stroke. RE: Spooky Holidays - YourFutureMuse - 29-12-2009 11:49 AM Ooooh right haha - thats sounds cool ![]() RE: Spooky Holidays - JHyde - 29-12-2009 12:05 PM "Dick Clark" and "ball drop" should not be mentioned in the same sentence. RE: Spooky Holidays - YourFutureMuse - 29-12-2009 12:10 PM LOL I also had to go and google Dick Clark though ![]() ![]() RE: Spooky Holidays - bertowud - 29-12-2009 12:32 PM (29-12-2009 12:05 PM)JHyde Wrote: "Dick Clark" and "ball drop" should not be mentioned in the same sentence. Which is part of the reason I was having a hard time keeping it clean. He's still even today a big deal in television rounds. He's produced so many shows it's unbelievable. He's also hosted a ton of shows like American Bandstand (music and dancing show that was on from the 1950s until the early 80s). And then of course, there's publisher's clearing house where you too can win a million dollars just by ordering magazines. LOL!
