The spoiler tag goes like this:

Code:
[spoiler]what you want to say[/spoiler]

You can also use the spoiler tags for each series:
[spoiler=9] write your spoiler for series 9[/spoiler]

If you want further information you can check the Spoiler policy here.

I'm going to weigh in and say that I don't think the photos are just promos, I think they were taken while shooting certain scenes.

I'm basing that on last year's pics, which I thought were staged (the Malcolm one especially) but it turned out they were all stills from scenes.

Blimey! If these latest spoilers are true, here's my thinking:

Series 9 Spoiler: show
If Harry is at the point where he's contemplating proposing to Ruth, they must have been seeing each other for a while now. This can mean one of two things: (1) That JHyde will get her wish and season 9 starts a couple of months after the end of season 8, or (2) they started seeing each other towards the end of season 8. In this instance, I would venture that they did go for that drink in 8.6, and things developed from there. It would certainly explain why, in 8.7, they are so attuned to each other - think how quickly Harry materialised to talk to Ruth when she is upset about them using the boy, and how she stroked his hand when she told him he was making the right decision.

Either way, I'll be a happy camper! Yahoo

Spoiler: show
It would certainly indicate that they had been together for a while, as a marriage proposal would be a bit quick if they weren't actually together, although it would certainly indicate exactly what Harry's intentions are! I'm just hoping that it isn't a throwaway line, I think we would all be extremely disheartened after all of this excitement.

Yeah, you are probably right. These pics apparently weren't supposed to be released yet. Which would explain why they look odd to me. And the fingers. Although I too blew it up and it still looked like she has super long fingers to me! LOL!

There are generally three kinds of promo shots: those posed for DVD covers etc like the one with Harry and Lucas, those taken from screen shots after the edit process has happened and those taken just after scenes are shot while the actors are still in costume to capture the moment but are bit posed, e.g they go through the scene again and now - Freeze for the pic! I kind of think the third applies. Its the lighting that throws me. It probably is a scene, but not a screen shot, just a posed pic after shooting the scene. Am I making any sense? Huh

And I absolutely think that S9 picks up a few months later and not just after the explosion. Which would be fine with me. I don't want to see any angsty H/R scenes. I want you guys to write them! Wink

Ha, ha. You are hoping, A Cousin, that you will get away with no angsty R/H scenes in series 9 or just episode 1? I think we will have to suffer at some point during S9, for sure.

(I am avoiding all posts in spoiler tags in this thread guys. I don't want to know anymore than I do already. Smile )

LOL - probably TL! I don't mind the subtle hint or tasteful exchange on the "ruthtop" - I just don't want it to turn into The Eastenders. Wink But I do want it to stay extremely understated and secondary. I am sure they won't let it "go there." As long as they stay away from schlocky bedroom scenes, for the most part, I'll be happy.

I notice you say "for the most part" A Cousin. Wink

Series 9 Spoiler: show
If Harry is talking about marriage it has to be with Ruth....mainly because there is no one else he would confide in, they have all gone! The review of the first episode suggests it spands over a month...its another 7 days of speculation yet!

I am sure you will understand when I say that I am fighting my baser desires to see Harry's...erm...how shall I say...battle scars for the greater good of the show as a whole. Blush

You see, we are fun AND educational! I learn British colloquialisms all the time here. I thought I'd pass a little Yiddish your way!
