I can't believe you guys don't have to do english! It's the one compulsory subject in NSW, bu you can do it at various levels.

Actually, I don't think that we do. In my sixth-form form group we have a mix of year 12s and 13s and it's amazing the number of people who can't do apostrophes. Really it is. Maybe we should have to do English, but a more fun version of English - maybe English grammar and fanfic

After this week I've just had, masochist is probably the more correct one
I hate Chemistry - too many practicals! I really detest doing them. I'm hoping to go to university and probably do Physics, or just go straight in and do a course in theoretical physics (the cool bit with all the bits inside the atom. And Quarks!)

Aaww haha but it will all be worth it to get such impressive A levels
And I adore practicals haha makes the lesson fly by! But have you done any PSAs yet ( I dunno if you have to with other exam boards) But they ALWAYS go wrong for me haha Last year my experiment actually caught alight and my teacher had to come and help me extinguish it
Needless to say I didn't get the safety mark for that one hahaAnd that sounds cool I don't anything about quarks though so I will just pretend to understand
I only do the electrons and even then I get confused Do you have any idea where you want to go yet uniwise?

PSAs? Are they the practicals? I've done one practical so far, and some how managed to get 11/12 in it. I am still confused. I thought it went awfully. Yours got set alight??? LOL!
We did an experiment last lesson, and our teacher showed us one experiment, saying at certain points 'This bit is very dangerous as you could get suck back which could potentially cause an explosion' (we were cracking hydrocarbons,) and then told us cheerfully once she had finished that we were now going to do a more dangerous experiment. I was not very happy. Fortunately our experiment went fine (I was working in a pair with someone who loves experiments, so I let her do the scary bit. I held the bunsen up instead
) but unfortunately there were 3 in my class who really hate experiments and were in a group together, and their test tube exploded, the end of it flying away. Fortunately none of them were hurt (and no one got burned by the bunsen burner,) but the teacher just went 'Oh, you'll have to do it again then.' They were SOOOOO unhappy.Ok, off my random chemistry ramble. (Last Chemistry lesson was hilarious
, not just because of the end of a test tube shooting off.) Quarks are what protons and other (relatively!) 'large' subatomic particles are made of i.e. protons and neutrons. Electrons don't contain quarks, and cannot be broken down as far as scientists are aware. I like the bit in Chemistry about electrons - did you have to do S,P and D shells? I really like that bit. Shame it's over Erm, unis... I dunno, Manchester is a definite possibility, as they're a good university that do theoretical physics, and probably not Oxbridge because I don't really think I'm one of the naturally amazing elite, so I think it would be too hard and too depressing to go there, although I might apply, I don't know yet. I'm not really sure on other universities yet, although there are relatively few universities that do do particle physics as an undergraduate course, let alone any good ones so I have a feeling that my choice may be limited by that.
