RE: Status? - bertowud - 13-08-2010 02:26 AM Finally made it home. RE: Status? - tyme4t - 13-08-2010 06:45 PM Tick tick tick...Waiting for the end of my shift to end (approx 1hr 45 minutes) then I am on VACATION!!! I will be spending a wonderful week along the shores of the Northumberland Strait in Nova Scotia (my home province)...a bit of a stay-cation - plans include dinners with friends, bonfires on the beach, reading reading reading, walks along the beach, re-discovering why millions of people around the world come visit my neck of the woods in this great big world! RE: Status? - JHyde - 14-08-2010 01:40 AM That sounds magnificent tyme4t - I definitely want to see that part of the world properly. RE: Status? - Kazters - 14-08-2010 09:05 AM i always wanted to go to canada my nana was from newfoundland and i have family there - have seen pictures it looks amazing! RE: Status? - Nia M - 14-08-2010 10:16 AM I expect you're already on holiday now, but have a great time tyme4t!! Am mulling over the differences between American and English English Holiday vs vacation, flat vs apartment, lift vs elevator, etc. RE: Status? - JHyde - 14-08-2010 10:37 AM Australian English is a mix of both. I remember watching Hugh Laurie on Ellen once and she played a game with him where they had to guess what words in the other's lingo meant - they both sucked at it, mostly. Because we share so much culture with both countries, we've ended up with a mix. Canadians and New Zealanders are the same, I find. If it wasn't for my dislike of Ellen, it would've been funny. Anyway, status: working on the final stages of my new website. RE: Status? - picard1109 - 14-08-2010 12:29 PM I'm off down the gym. Need some of those dolphins to make me feel good. RE: Status? - Nia M - 14-08-2010 11:35 PM Dolphins??? Am nursing my first ever drink-induced headache RE: Status? - A Cousin - 15-08-2010 02:53 AM Last Night: Beach Frisbee and long talk with mother with the help of a glass or two of Balvenie 12 year old doublewood single malt whiskey. This morning: long walk with daughter down beach and through artists enclave. This afternoon: reading, reading, reading. Life is good. |
