RE: Status? - lbarnes2 - 24-08-2010 10:37 PM Thank you all!!! Yep, on to A-Levels in September. Thanks YFM - I'm quite pleased with how my avatar turned out too! Am trying to disguise the fact that I am online at this time from my parents RE: Status? - almh - 25-08-2010 05:29 PM Feeling incredibly stressed. Maybe some more Take That will cure it (Only kidding Nitrus) RE: Status? - Nitrus - 25-08-2010 05:41 PM How come you're stressed? I'm watching Dexter and thinking about the things I've got to do. RE: Status? - almh - 25-08-2010 05:47 PM A million reasons why. A-levels, University applications (my dad wants me to go to Oxford but the more I hear about it the less certain I am that I'll get in), I've just found out that my friend is going to be in hospital for two weeks at the start of term, and that she failed three of her ASs, and got an E in the fourth, my mum is getting my sister to retake some science modules because she 'only' got As in them, whereas I ended up getting nearly all As for my final GCSE results, whereas most people I know have at least five A*s, and my friend got straight A*s, so I'm worried that my results aren't good enough. (Sorry for the rant. I might watch a DVD in a minute, which hopefully will calm me down). RE: Status? - YourFutureMuse - 25-08-2010 05:52 PM I am debating whether or not to go to the pub or not.. I'm dog tired, have no money, but one of my friend's friends is over from London and I haven't seen for ages and I want to spend as much time as possible with them before Oct :'( (I reckon you should go for it almh!! It's only one of 5 choices afterall ) RE: Status? - Nitrus - 25-08-2010 05:55 PM My GCSE results were a lot worse than that, nearly all As is very good. As for Oxford, you'll have a better idea of whether that's the right path for you during AS levels. And despite what your dad might think, there are really great universities here and you need to find the one that's best for your course, not the one which carries the highest perceived success. RE: Status? - almh - 25-08-2010 06:33 PM Thanks Think I might watch series 5 episodes 1-4 of Spooks now. RE: Status? - Beatriz - 25-08-2010 09:46 PM Enjoying the jokes on the Competition: Lifetime Spooks Memebership! (well, I have to admit I don't understand all of the, but I guesshave an excuse - or that's what I'd like to think) RE: Status? - TygerBright - 25-08-2010 10:08 PM awake again after 90+ mins of ...boredom, need to get my priorities straight but tempted to do another night of photoshopping, trying all the cool tricks I learned yesterday.. wishing briefly I were back in school |
