Interesting idea - I didn't know about that. I only knew that in 7/7 the emergency services struggled to communicate underground, so I assumed that the same problem still existed (because, tbh, if people say that they'll improve something, it often takes a couple of years for the work to even start. Do not even get me started on my public transport rant and how they still haven't updated their website...)

Comms didn't work underground in 7.8. I gues it's not impossible though that these things have been fixed in the last year and a half though in Spooks World.

Having said that, I *really* enjoyed this episode, my fave so far this season. Very clever, lots of great personal moments and great acting, especially from the very well cast Azis and Meg Kirby (I can't find credits for them but they were both excellent.).

Thought it was a really good episode.

Meg was played by Amanda Hale (Murderland) and Azis was played by Jonathan Aris (Sherlock) - agree that they were both excellent.

*I don't believe an agent would live in a house which appears to have floor to wall windows - not very secure and provides an easy shot!

Things I did like:
I know I stated earlier that Maya caved to easily but he had me at "Close..."(Blush)

Me too! He had me at hello!

Re the love of his life

From a personal point of view I have to believe that a person can have more than one love of your life otherwise why do I get up everyday. Here speaks a divorced woman his choice not mine.

Also Elizaveta and him were divorced before he went in prison so was she the love of his life.

After 8 long years in a Russian prison being tortured, you would probably have formulated in your mind, that anyone you ever had a relationship with, was "a love of your life," having idolised them.

I also agree that you can have more than one "love of your life" with others being just "loves" or "nincompoops."

I understand what you both are saying, and I agree that you can have more than one love of your life, what I mean is that it is getting a recurrent thing in Lucas life and it can be a bit repetitive. Let's see how this Maya thing develops...

I think the nature of this relationship is that it's meant to be a passion that never got a chance to fizzle out, it was unresolved. The memory of a old passion can project itself back into a relationship whether it is a wise and well-thought out action to take or not. If the chemistry is still there then who wouldn't grasp at a second chance...however I do agree he was less than forthcoming with the full facts and lets face it, the scene should have had a greater build up. That seems to be due more to time constraints on the part of the writers than the performances which I thought were smokin' hot!

I also think Maya's "in on it." I think she'll either entrap Lucas to give Vaughan what he wants, or she'll be the "bait" (eg hostage) for Vaughan to trap Lucas. And yes, I was also hoping for a revelation on Lucas in Russia at the end of this episode. Next time?

I thought Dr Kirby's character, and the actor who played him (name?) was terrific. Integrity - wonderful.
