Sorry if this isn't the right place to post this request but I'm desperately trying to find a Ruth/Harry fanfic that was about the whole team going out for Harry's birthday. They got him drunk drinking lots of shots etc and then Ruth goes to the bar to get some drinks but is hassled by a guy and hero-Harry staggers to her rescue! The guy later gives Harry a black eye outside the pub and Ruth has to take him home. Does anyone know who wrote this or the title? I've been reading soooooo many stories on fanfiction.net lately and assume it was from there but I can't seem to find it again. I've been reading so many stories lately - I just can't get enough. Soon I will have to pencil in some time for a real life but these stories are just too good.....and especially when you are snowed in!! So please let me know about this story - it was great and would love to read it again. Thank you.

Is it really bad that I remembered the story you meant? Lol... It is from fanfiction.net, and it's called "Rising up to the Challenge" by -Macaronic-Paradox-. Hope that helps

No that's not really bad - its just brilliant!! Thank you so much! Off to immerse myself in more fanfic.....

Yep - me again with another fanfic question. One of the many fanfics I've read lately looked at Harry's thoughts as to why Ruth turned down the chance to go out for dinner again. He wondered to himself whether it was because some of the team were jealous that Ruth was dating the boss, or were they scornful of the idea that he would be dating Ruth at all. Does anyone know which story that was? I know I'm being very vague with the details but I remember thinking that I'd been thinking those same thoughts about why Ruth believed she couldn't date him. I thought the story was very interesting to look at Harry's reflections on why their romance was cut so short.
Ruth tried to pass it off to Harry that she was thinking about the effect on his reputation, but then admits its because she doesn't want to be talked about. I think she really thought they'd be laughing at the idea of their 'stern' boss dating 'mousy' Ruth rather than someone like Jo.
If anyone can put me out of my misery I'll be grateful

No worries about posting for these. I've been searching for a HR fanfic for weeks now. Hopefully you'll have better futures in finding yours. I'll check out fanfiction.net - best to set up an account there, so you can keep your favourites once you do find this one. I'll check out my favourites and see if I can find it for you.
