Does anyone know if a second series has been commissioned? I'm not bothered if there isn't just can't find any kind of definitive decision?

I don't think an MI6 one would be good... I mean, we already see a lot of overseas espionage in Spooks... how would MI6 be different?

You're probably right. I just really, really like Sandbaggers and rewatch the whole series about once a year on DVD.
Also, isn't that the point? Shouldn't the MI5 group be mostly in the UK? Shouldn't MI6 be handling the international stuff?

You haven't heard of Sandbaggers? It was a TV series released by ITV (I believe) in the 70s. There were 3 series/seasons. It was about an group of 3 MI6 agents who were the special services group. They handled the missions that were never on any records and some that were on the record. It's a killer show!
Have you read the comic Queen & Country by Greg Rucka? It's heavily inspired by Sandbaggers.

Me too! I only just discovered it on DVD a few years ago. I started reading Queen & Country and discovered the author admits to Sandbaggers being a major influence on him, so I tracked down the DVDs and watched the first two series in one weekend. It's great!
