Series where everything changed? - Nitrus - 23-10-2009 05:11 PM Series 5 for me has always been the series where eveything changed.. with various characters departing and various characters joining, it felt like a lot of things changed, not only with storylines but with the way the show was shot. Then again, it wasn't until Series 6 that the threaded storylines were brought in.. What do you think? RE: Series where everything changed? - RoninExec - 23-10-2009 07:13 PM Just watched first episode of S7, which confirms what I had stated otherwise : Spooks has become by Series 5 -as confirmed in S7- a Hollywood TV Show copycat, in the unbearable likes of "24" or James Bond. But a least James never tried to be credible in the first place! Spoiler: show RE: Series where everything changed? - Kazters - 27-06-2010 04:07 PM i think that s 5 starts a terrible line of very bad luck for section D each ep after s5 someone seems to get beaten, kidnaped, poisoned and killled even malcom RE: Series where everything changed? - SweetTea - 24-01-2012 09:59 PM I just finished a re-watch of Series 5 and what I noticed was that in almost every episode there is someone from within the government that is either working against them or out-right screwing them over. Here's a list: Episode 1 & 2: Michael Collingwood, MI-6 Episode 3: No one Episode 4: James Allen, Foreign Secretary Episode 5: Oliver Mace, Chairman of the JIC Episode 6 & 7: Neil Sternin, MI-6 Episode 8: Charles Lee, chief legal counsel for Downing Street Episode 9: John Russell, MI-6 Episode 10: Janet Wheeler, Science Advisor to the PM I haven't been making notes on other series as to how often the foe is someone from within, but it really struck me with this series. Now I'm curious enough that I want to go back and remind myself of how much this happened in the other series. |
