The BBC have just released the top 20 most watched programmes on their iPlayer this year. Spooks series 8 episode 1 came 17th with 449,900 streams.
Just to try and put that into some sort of context,
- 1st was Top Gear series 13, episode 1, with 1,671,100 streams
- 11th was Waterloo Road, series 5, episode 1, with 605,900 streams
- 20th was Robin Hood, series 3, episode 13 with 414,100 streams
I think those are rather impressive streaming figures for Spooks. Combine that with viewing figures, downloads from itunes etc

I think episode 1 was the only one I actually watched on iplayer cos I was in Berlin the day it first aired haha - you can imagine my distress...

Haha I found it easier to watch those little bits I wanted to rewatch ( i am afraid in my case sarah lucas :-O ) on youtube cos Iplayer can be soo slow sometimes. Wish I had have done though

IMO one of the best Series on TV should be higher up the list, still good to see it in the top 20 though

Not bad at all... Spooks was always going to lose out to Top Gear..
I see absolutely NO reason why Spooks won't be recommissioned.
