RE: Wish List for Season 9 (if there is one)
Dear Santa,
this is only the beginning: obvioulsy more staff.. any background on Tariq – he’s so… bland. And I don’t think he’s fully realised yet what he’s got himself into. He needs a wakeup call.. more background on Lucas – pre-Russia. And even pre-MI5. more action Lucas. more angry Lucas. It's not good to bottle it all up, you have to let it out more action Harry ANY ACTION RUTH!!! more Ruth in general – with or without Harry .. I’ve only seen seasons 7+8 yet so I obviously can only guess at how awesome she is (I can’t believe I used that word..) more action in general, supported by a decent plot, not just some Steven Seagal kick-derrière sort (though I’m sure Lucas would be great in that role ) more topless Lucas but only if the story warrants is – much as I like the sight, the gratuitous nudity somehow devaluates the show as clearly everyone can see it serves no other purpose than being eye candy (I’m not complaining but..that boiler suit scene?!?!?) bring back Elisaveta. I think Lucas is not finished with her yet. Even if she comes back as evil double (triple?) agent and he has to eventually kill her more humour, even if it’s only the gallows variety. I’ve been missing one-liners and witty repartees of late. 22 episodes (yeah, I know…but one can dream, no?) At least 10. more gadgets. Even if I don’t understand half of the techno-babble I'm sure I can think of more but I didn't want to appear greedy |

It's also been a director's issue in several instances - Alrick Riley's not always been on his game this season. And the director's responsible for the raw material the editor gets, so they're really both to blame. Much as I loved the Coleville episode, for example, that was all over the bloody shop. I want to see people grow and develop if we get a season 9. Season 8 was more of a transitory season, much like season 3. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

My blood pressure simply would not cope with Richard Armitage, Colin Firth and Alan Rickman in the same programme!

it's a mouthwatering thought tho.. obviously Alan Rickman would have to reprise his Hans Gruber bad guy character only to be hunted down and taken out by Lucas in the season finale. He's one of the most formidable film foes ever and surely a worthy adversary for our spooks.
oooh ya, I like that idea.. |

OK how about Russell Tovey and Holly Grainger as new Field Officers? Holly appeared with RA in Sparkhouse and Robin Hood - she's a great actress. And Russell is the new screen darling for a lot of people. But I still want Ros there too.

I don't like the look of Russell Tovey lol but I have only ever seen him in one thing and I shouldn't be so shallow anyway
I have never heard of Holly Grainger but I shall go google her and return with my verdict lol |

I'd take any new officer that is a little more animated and cheerful than either Ros or Lucas...
Those two don't have much to be cheerful about, admittedly, but since both Adam and Malcolm left it feels as if no-one is allowed to smile on the Grid anymore. |

Rooftop scene: Beth and Dmitri sneak up and disarm Lucas, cuff him and lead him away. Lucas screams, "No Harry please, I'd rather die!" Harry: "We're sending you to rehab ................. in Texas." |

If they want to be a bit more realistic in series 9, how about them getting stuck in traffic once in a while? Have any of them ever actually driven around London?

Oh, and CONGESTION CHARGE!!!
DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |
