Really? Harry's always had a ruthless streak in him.

PS Nitrus, remember the episode where Colin died and the guy responsible* asked Harry to take his belt but Harry walked off and let nature take it's course. That was a kill, albeit indirect.

The guy responsible ASKED for his belt to be left... he wanted to commit suicide rather than face trial.. what Harry did was an act of compassion and mercy.

I know you've probably seen it several times but I think he asked for some medication and for the belt to be taken because he was worried about suicide. I took it as revenge for Colin's death. Could you check again? I would have to order it at the library again.

Rooftop scene:
Beth and Dmitri sneak up and disarm Lucas, cuff him and lead him away.
Lucas screams, "No Harry please, I'd rather die!"

Harry: "We're sending you to rehab ................. in Texas."

RE: One of the best series?
Nitrus is right - Harry asks him if there's anything if he wants and the man says "Your men have been so kind as to leave me my belt." Harry asks if that's all he wants, and he says yes.

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

RE: One of the best series?
No, Harry asked as a courtesy whether there was anything he could do and Collingwood asked that his belt be left to him, the implication obviously being that he would use it to commit suicide. Harry knew what he would do with it. I'm not sure it was completely an act of compassion, as there was also a bit of hands-washing in the incident. And of course it broke protocol to do so, as Juliet haraunged him for later, although she didn't know it was Harry.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's probably best if the Harry/Collingwood/Colin conversation moves over to series 5 threads.

Yep, definetley THE best series, the sugarhorse [Connie] storyline was among the best ever written in spooks.

Loved Ep8, the chase in the tunnel in particular was very exciting although I thought they would catch up with them as Connie was hardly Usain Bolt. Loved Lucas at the top of the escalator desperately trying to pretend that his gun wasn't jammed, and his relief when they were ordered to stand down. Surprised Connie managed to diffuse the bomb after that much gin tho!

RE: One of the best series?
Yeah, Series 7 really impressed me though I've only seen it the once last year and need to buy the DVD soon to rewatch it again but at the time, I really enjoyed it. In particular, Connie was a fantastic villain and really made the series for me. She really creeped me out when she hissed at everyone on the Grid! That was scary! And Ben's death was so gruesome and a jaw dropping moment!

Ros also came into her own, with the episode when she went undercover in that bank.

RE: One of the best series?
Yeah, Connie was definitely "the one." Such a great character and, given that she's had a long-standing friendship with Harry, her betrayal is just that much more unexpected. I never saw that one coming!

"Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going."

I think the connie storyline is good, but series 6 and the adam storyline is also equally as good.
they are all too good!
