From what Richard Armitage said on GMTV this morning it sounds as if series 9 is definitely concentrating more on characters on the grid and what makes them tick. Hooray if that's so although when he said reading his script about Lucas made him go "WHAT?" I felt I was watching a Spooks episode and thought Oh No!!

The producers would have asked him not to give to much away and I wonder if Lucas being a Russian spy is too obvious. Prefer the father son possibility. After all Harry could have had an affair with a 6'6" femme fatale!

I hope you're right molecatcher, I would hate Lucas to be a Russian spy, as you say too obvious.

Pure conjecture, and partially tongue-in-cheek, but if Dmitri's character is (allegedly) buttered both sides, what if he's attracted to Lucas? THAT would be different and would explain RA's comment on GMTV (going from memory, sorry) "Lucas isn't what you thought he was." Remember there was some innuendo attached with Lucas and Darsharvin in S8...

Personally, I like the "Harry's son" idea...or a relative...
