Great stuff YFM/TB. It looks like Nightingale will be coming to an end early S9 then, thank goodness ! Couple of questions though, does "old Home Sec" mean Blake or the new one who's name escapes me? Also what is Lucas doing in a hospital to meet his old flame who is a doctor?

So if SM is playing a mercenary, LR a doctor, and MB a Greek pirate, who on earth will be our new field officers in S9 ?????

You wanted action Harry, TL The writers may be giving you your wish

Maybe SM and MB's characters have dodgy pasts but are now "good" guys, so they are now part of MI5. RA has said "identity" plays a big role in the new season.

I agree with that Aria. RA also said "All of the new characters that come in actually turn out to be slightly different from what you think." which IMO would work with the version that SM and MB are now part of MI5. Also the TV Choice blog said SM was "Section D's newest recruit Beth" and I assumed MB joining the team as spy (and piracy expert) also applied to him being on the team. Also Talking Telly med SM when they visited the Grid, another reason to assume she's part of MI5

In RA's interview on BBC 5 live he mentioned a spooks episode concerning a visit by President Obama which turns into an assassination attempt, and the fact that the Chinese and Russian governments are working together.

If it wasn't for Strike Back starting and RA promoting it, I'm sure we would hear any thing about series 9 until the autumn. I'm not sure if I like hearing all these snippets of info on Spooks or not because series 9 is so far away still.
