RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
But absolutely outrageous that Peter Firth wasn't nominated for best actor for season 8!!!
I'm really angry about that - he was superb! And a damned sight better than Branagh in that tedious Wallander... "Where's Harry?" "Moving in mysterious ways." |

RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
yeah I hate Walllander. I remember yelling at my TV last yeat when it won over Spooks AND Doctor Who! On what planet haha.
I'd hoped Hermione would be nominated, she def deserves it. I've noticed the most of actors nominated for best actor/ actress are all from like 2-3 part things rather than series maybe thats why. really hope DO wins. He was amazing in Small island |

RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
I'm glad Peter Capaldi was nominated for The Thick of It, but I think he should have got one for Torchwood - Children of Earth. He's an actor I would love to see on Spooks, so enormously talented.
That's so great, Spooks being nominated in its 8th year. Bloody fantastic. I think Being Human will win. Peter Firth didn't do a huge amount after episode one in terms of the sort of stuff that results in award nominations. But he was so good in episode one, I really think he should have got a nod for that one alone. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
Spooks overall was excellent, and of course, deserves it nomination, but I don't think the actors were particularly stretched in their performances. It was all about the plots and writing, which is why the actors weren't nominated.
Lucas 8.4: It's all about trust, isn't Harry ?. Signature by the brilliant TygerBright |

Nicely said, Hells Bells. I think when they were stretched, they were one offs. (Peter and Nicola in episode one, Hermione episode five, Lucas episode four.)
Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
Come on! Spooks is fantastic but will it beat Wallander to it?

RE: Spooks BAFTA awards 2010
Thanks for doing that Aria. I didn't see the Yellowstone nomination. That's really good and should win hands down.
I would have loved to have seen PF nominated because of 8.1 but alas this probably wasn't enough on its own. The fact that he was stuck on the Grid for most of the other episodes pining after Ruth or on his mobile, meant that he didn't get much of a chance to show off his acting abilities. I am not sure whether Spooks will win but a nomination is very good and all helps towards securing funding for series 10. |
