Tessa/Jenny Agutter

Well as much as I don't like Tessa I find that I can no longer hate her as I have discovered that she was played by Jenny Agutter and there is no way I can dislike her as I mean she is Bobbie!!!

Plus she is in so much good stuff as I also realised today such as Logan's Run!

Through the rewatch I also came to like Tessa, she was a unique character in that she was completely selfish but JA gave her depth. I loved her scenes with PF as Tessa and Harry had such an openly antogonistic relationship which is ironic in that they are such good friends in RL.

I also remember watching her in The Railway Children as Bobbie then playing Mother in the ITV remake

I really loved the scenes between JA and PF, too - there's a really good dynamic between the two actors, probably because they're friends off screen.

I'd rather like Tessa to come back to torment Harry some more, actually. He's best when being tormented by strong women!

Lukyan, if it's OK, I've changed this to include Jenny Agutter's stuff more generally. We seem to be talking about her as well as Tessa.

She has a cameo in Burke and Hare which should be coming out reasonably soon, given that I think it was shown at Cannes. Nice to see her working with John Landis again too.

I must admit the first time I saw Equus I cried 'Oh My God it's Bobbie!'.

PF tells a story on Top Gear that he once asked JA (and I am paraphrasing here - not a direct quote) "to give him one good reason why they shouldn't go back to his hotel room" And she answered "I can give you several." LOL

Not being familiar with Jenny Agutter until I saw her as Tessa, I had no reference point for previous work. So I guess she will always be Tessa to me - and Harry & Tessa's relationship and even her relationship with Tom was always great to watch. Tessa back on [spooks] - that would be cool.
