How Spooks Should End?

I could!!!! Well, not quite like the 'I got off the plane', but something along those lines would be great!! (My inner voice of reason saying 'Spooks doesn't do fluff like that' is being battered down heavily)

When I say 'quiet', I don't mean for the whole episode to be quiet, but perhaps like the ending of 2.5.

After all the mayhem of the EERE exercise, it's relief all around, and celebratory champagne, and 'Let's head off to The George for a liquid lunch'. And then as they're leaving a warning flashes up which they don't see...

I was thinking maybe some politician/bureaucrat shutting down section D after Harry gets set up, and he decides to gracefully go into exile (with Ruth, of course).

I would love to see them doing series 9 and 10 without killing off any of the main characters - wouldn't that be something really original and surprising? And then afterwards a movie to round it all off, maybe something having to do with the Olympics in London (this isn't actually my idea, RA mentioned in a radio interview that he thought "Spooks" would be great on the big screen). And because it's such a major threat they have to reactivate Tom Quinn and Adam (who wasn't really killed in that explosion) and Ros and they could all work together to save London. Needless to say they will succeed and my favourite last scene would be for all of them to be received by the Queen to get a knighthood or something similar.

I kind of like the idea of a cliffhanger. typical Spooks stylee sort of thing, big explosion or something because then anything could happen and it does open the floor to fanfic, movies etc. I think anything to final would be too sad for me to bear!

Maybe Tom could come back though, I like the idea of something reallly serious happening and they need to call in all the old spooks, like off the reccord. Harry gets set up for something and the team need to prove him innocent. then at the end a big explosion, like ending of spooks:code 9 and s8

I'd still prefer it to be more like the ending of 2.5 than a big explosion (aka terror threat that ends it on a big cliffhanger, but without the huge costs of an explosion - thus freeing up more money to make the rest of the series better)

If Tom comes back, Zoe has to as well. I just really want her to come back
