RE: Favourite films?
Sweet November was decent. It was probably the closest Keanu's come to acting with any convincing emotion.

I know I've seen Cry-Baby, but can't remember a minute of it at this moment.

Pretty Woman is a lot of fun. It just makes me smile to watch it. I will always love the scene when Julia Roberts is crying and the hotel manager picks up the phone and calls the store to get them to help her out.

North & South? The TV mini series with Patrick Swayze?

I've never seen Crying Freeman but really enjoyed the manga. Kazuo Koike is a favorite of mine, even if I haven't finished the Lone Wolf and Cub in it's entirety. I've only made if halfway so far.

A Walk to Remember is a very touching story. I think I cry every time my wife makes me watch it (3 times now). The only real criticism I have is I can't stand Tom Sawyer...I mean Shane West.

Other than Pride & Prejudice, I don't think I've even heard of the rest of your list. A few of those sound like very interesting titles.

No. The mini series with Richard Armitage. North and South is a four part adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell's love story. It's very romantic film.

O, Mark Dacascos is super in this film.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (Tomorrow May Not Come) is the Indian film with Shahrukh Khan. I'm the biggest fan of bollywood movies.

The Barber of Siberia or Sibirskiy tsiryulnik, Moscow does not believe in tears, Not abandon, Petersburg's Secrets, The palmist are the Russian films. Generally I am Ukrainian girl. And I am sorry for my English)

I hadn't realized that the Hobbit was going to be a two parter. I read that book first long before the Lord of the Rings. I have always preferred The Hobbit, so really keen to see the film.

RE: Favourite films?
I must start reading The Hobbit ( a little of topic, better in another thread I think Tongue), I reckon Guillermo is shooting now, isn't he?

I've never seen a bollywood film and I'd like to but I don't know which one... so perhaps I should start with this one...

A curiosity, what spanish films are showed in Britain? Rolleyes
I must say that I'm not a very big fan of Pedro Almodovar, he seems to be the only director in Spain, I mean, for the rest of the world; I love Amenabar (he made the film in which was based Vanilla Sky, better the original one!)

You are very observantSmile
I was seen by a watch, but North & South with Richard Armitage is the classic of genre. I only recently opened on your own BBC serials and I enjoy now

I think so or starting soon. A friend of mine is supposed to be going to New Zealand in December to visit the set. I'll let you know if he shares any pictures.

The other day Back to the future was on tv, and I was wondering, what Marty McFly says when they call him coward? (I try to find out but... no luck!, I didn't know where to ask, and thought to post it here) Tongue
I never get tired of watching them!!

*Edited* OK I found it: Nobody calls me chicken! I love that quote!! Big Grin

RE: Favourite films?
I am so excited Guillermo is doing The Hobbit. I also love Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth. They're not filming yet, there's no production date either, there was a blog post from MTV yesterday with McKellan. He also has my favourite name EVER.

I could honestly go on and on about films I love, but instead I'll say that the last two films I saw and loved were 500 Days of Summer and Whip It! and I am most looking forward to The Invention of Lying (Ricky Gervais' new project) and Where The Wild Things Are, neither of which has been released here yet.
