Ros funeral/Harry & Ruth marriage refusal

I found this a few days ago after watching the trailer last week. The chapel was on one of the tv location websites that offer that venue for filming. This gave me a good start but the website does not give any location details away as they obviously want you to book the venue through them. All the website said was it was in the South East and within 50 miles of London. So after searching through all the counties around London, for a "private chapel" attached to a tudor building (there is an adjacent tudor manor house on the website photos) I found it after a few days.

It is St. James the Less, Dorney Court, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 6QP.

I am almost positive that the house where Nicholas Blake lived is the same house used in Jekyll, in episode 3, when Tom comes to confront Syme.

I don't know how this helps us find it, but I'm going to listen to the Jekyll commentary and try and find out.

Prince Edward Hotel 9.5

I thought this one was going to be hard but if you look to the left of Beth, as she waves goodbye to her delegate at the end, you can just about make out the end of an address etched in the wall. It reads "Square." I then went back and found another part of the address, when the terrorist bundles Beth into the back of the van. It reads "Ten Tr..." I guessed that this could be Trinity Square in the City and had a look. The Prince Edward Hotel is Ten Trinity Square, London, EC3P 3AX.

The website is quite interesting. It is the former Willis building and there were plans to turn it into a hotel, but I can not see that this has happened. If you take the photo tour, many of the interior shots look familar (although I don't think the interior shots of 9.5 were filmed here) and I wonder whether this was the interior used for Havensworth.

Haven't they used the exterior of this building a few times. There was a clip in Series 8 where it looks as though Harry and Ruth have been to a meeting, and they are walking along the outside of a building with these huge pillars.

Great finding Tea Lady!! Spotting spooks locations involves having an eye for detail!

I don't think it's the same one, the one with Harry and Ruth has the grille very close to the staircase, and I don't think this one has them. At least the staircase seems different to me...

I'm not aware of them using this building externally before, although it does look similar to the front of the Bank of England which they have used a few times. The scene in 8.8 where Harry and Ruth walk out of the MOD briefing, was filmed at Royal College of Surgeons, Lincoln's Inn Fields, WC2A 3PE.

Ah! My knowledge of London is not great. I live in Devon so I see pillars and think it's all the same building!

Not sure has been mentioned before, another building reused recently (9.4, Chinese Embassy) is the Royal College of Defence Studies, (Seaford House, 37 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8NS) where the Embassy siege of episodes 6 and 7 of series 5 were shot...
