RE: Matthew Macfadyen
Fascinating article, tyme4t. Can't believe he is only 35, no wonder he looked young in Spooks. Love the idea of him going out to buy fish & chips, so very normal!

HB...Now if I ever get to London, I'll have to seek out MM's fish & chips place! Will you come with me? Wink

Oh yes,........although do you think that might be in the realms of stalking?

No...not stalking so much as trying to make sure I experience an authentic English fish & chips meal and well if MM happens to be there...(pausing to compute the implications) - OK this scenario has international incident written all over it! Wink

I will be interested to know what you think of it A Cousin. I watched all three parts and stuck with it, but I really didn't think the chap, whose diarys the series was based upon, was all that interesting. I mean, I didn't think his life was anything special (to outsiders) to write a book about and then make a TV adaption of it. MM was ok IMO. Nothing special. Not as good a part as Pillars.

RE: Matthew Macfadyen
Yuck - BBC Asia are running Criminal Justice and MM is playing the role of a not very nice husband, arrogant barrister. Just watched him force his wife into anal sex, but it seems she was ready with a knife and he's a gonna! Oh how grisly! Seriously - he left Spooks for this tosh! Yuck yuck. Some 'drama' I really don't want to see.

RE: Matthew Macfadyen
I like his recent portrayal of Prior Philip in The Pillars of the Earth, which I'm currently reading. His Welsh accent! He made a good Darcy, but I wasn't keen on the film as a whole, so I can't say much on that. I watched Any Human Heart simply for him and Sam Claflin and will watch Robin Hood and The Three Musketeers for the same reason. Maybe Marple and a few TV films he's been in. There was that film he was in involving certain matters, that I may never be able to watch, but I think he's an extremely brave man for taking such a role and I will continue to watch and admire his work.

Under the sway of thy gentle wings"
