RE: Lucas a good addition?
I love the addition of Lucas to the show (maybe a bit influenced by his appearance... Wink), as you all said there's a lot we can discover about him and his past-life, writers can play a lot with this character.

RE: Lucas a good addition?
It is obvious that Lucas and the Caulfield woman will have a relationship of sorts - Richard Armitage has already said this in interviews -
Spoiler: show
but she is out for revenge over the faked Uranium deal so it will
be interesting to see exactly how she does this I think

RE: Lucas a good addition?
I love Lucas as a character. He has a great balance between aloofness and passion, in much the same way as Harry. RA has said that he likes the "contained" feel of Spooks, and the fact that he spent 8 years in Russia is such a big detail. I love the dynamic between Lucas and Ros, this mutual respect and appreciation. I like shows where there are just strong friendships between men and women who work together and have no designs on each other, it feels realistic. Especially given their discussion in 7.3 "colleagues are OK", I'm really enjoying that element of the show.

I also love the understated tension between Lucas and Harry, because they obviously admire each other and are loyal, but Lucas still distrusts Harry a little, as we know.

Finally, I think Lucas is a great addition to Spooks because as I've pointed out elsewhere, he brings a whole new set of fans with him to the show. Not just women either, judging by the many men who use him as their usertitle on this forum.

RE: Lucas a good addition?
I was a huge fan of Adam's (can't you tell Wink), so I was very uneasy about Lucas coming in to "replace" him.

But, as much as I adore Adam, I haven't missed him. Lucas has been a fantastic addition to the show. He's so unbelievably cool and collected in a way I haven't seen in any Spooks character. And I can't wait to see what they have in store for him.
