The end of spooks...

I have to say that although I will be sad to see the show end, at least it will always have been of the highest standard in terms of production, acting and stories and it will be remembered for going out at a high point, not limping sadly into oblivion.

Yes, you are right about the highest standard of Spooks in regard to the marvelous acting and production. I have enjoyed the show very much.

My only pet peeve so far is one of the stories in series 10. Here I go again. I know that Spooks's characters do not exist and it is just a show.

But it has happened sooner than I thought. Our PBS program is showing "A Prayer for my Daughter" tonight and I just cannot watch it again. It pains me to see that Harry has another son and that he has neglected his English children. If episode 2 and the following episodes dwell too much on Harry's remorse about Sasha and Elena, it will be hard for me to re-watch Spooks. I hope that we learn more about the reason why the impersonator wants to destroy Harry's career.

I know that series 10 is dedicated to Harry and I was really looking forward to his arc. But I do not understand why Kudos has chosen these two storylines. Was it shock and awe? It might backfire on them if the fans cannot accept the narrative of the "love child" and the possible destruction of Harry’s character. They will look at Spooks in a very different light and not the most favorable one.

I know it is too early in series 10 to judge it. I will keep on open mind. I was just surprised by my unexpected reaction to the re-run of the episode dedicated to Catherine, the daughter.

It's only one episode, we can't judge it, yet, too soon; and I don't think it'll be everything about who's Sasha's father or how much Harry suffers for his lost son, it's just B-plot.

I agree with the ones who think it's good Spooks ends at its best, I wouldn't like it to repeat itself, storylines and end when everybody is sick of it. I admit it's sad and I'm going to miss it badly but it's better. It's one thing I admire of British series, they don't usually strech the plot until it becomes unbearable, I have a few examples in Spanish tv...

i would love for there to be a sad emotional ending..although a character death scene and everyone sitting about crying would be rather predictable, i think we need to have more faith in the writers, i mean, we have all been with this show for ten years..there must be a reason we didnt give up in season 1. i am so excited to see how it will finish although i will not have a clue what to do with myself.
