what an ending, up untill then it was an ep where not much action took place but lots of iformation was given.

i dont like Callum, i think they are making out to be a baddie when he is a red herring!

i had the strangest thoughts last night though about ruth! i seem to be thinking she could be the one impersonating harry, i adore ruth, but she knows his codes, she knows all about him, could she have found out about Elina before? could she be bad? she told Tariq to go home! *hides from ruth fans*
she knew who the guy with the laptop was straight away! she knows ex agents.

i hope the baddie isnt in section D that cant happen AGAIN!

Brilliant tense, interesting, sad ep. Lots of holes but great acting.

I think they are casting doubts about Ruth , maybe mis direction? She knew Tariq was going home to watch the CCTV, she told Harry she needed to know everything etc. I think she will betray Harry to the HS but hopefully in the end will save him. I like Sasha who will probably end up in MI5 like his Dad !?

It seems very strange to me that Calum should be there when Tariq got out of the taxi - what was he doing there at that time of night?

Agree that Elena is trying to play Harry who doesn't know who to trust anymore. (Elena, HS, Americans, his own team.)

The woman who took the case looks like Elena but she seems to be watched all the time by the Russians so unless they are in on it how would she get out, undisguised, to get the case. If the Russians are in on it why would they send her to get the case and not one of their team?

Liked this episode but can't help thinking Ilya Gavrik has just walked off the set of a Dracula movie and Elena has had more plastic surgy than Joan Collins.

I can't believe people actually are considering Ruth as baddie!!!! I understand people being extra suspicious as its Spooks but Ruth is ONE person I would never think of as a traitor... and if that happens I promise to burn all of my Spooks DVDs!

When it comes to this episode I really loved Erin and Harry conversation and also Sasha!

Was very nervous about Marta, I did not think she would make it and her scene with Erin in safe house was brilliant! I was not convinced of Laras acting skills in ep 1 but this one she was really really good!

When it comes to Ruth looking into Harrys file I guess she wants to help him and as she feels he is not telling everything to her, she decides to find out on her own. And I mean Harry should have guessed when giving her all the necessary access levels that she would look into him as well... LOL And as Coaver & Harry have history its not that strange that she looks at Harrys file as well...

And I dont believe that Ilja Gavrik does not know his wife is a spy...after all he could tell Marta was a spy almost directly!

Coaver as Harrys impersonator would be too obvious so I guess its some one else, most likely an OLD FACE! And yes I also thought it was Elena on that CCTV but weather it was actually her or some one pretending to be her I have no idea!

Oh and poor Tariq... sniff... even though xpected him to be killed off it anyway came as a shock to me... That moment when he realized he was going to die was soooooo heart breaking!!! I did have flashbacks of Danny's death.... and the way Tariq told off Callum was good too!

I liked the interaction between Sasha and Harry in this episode, nothing like quality father son time, murdering an FSB agent and hiding the body. That's all most of us can hope for.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that I am in love with Lara Pulver at this point. (sigh)

Just wanted to throw something out there for discussion after Harry's "We have a sympathetic person inside the coroners office" is Lucas still alive and he is the one who has been pretending to be Harry would also fit in with the Russian side of things

It seems that since S9 some fans want Ruth to be a traitor. Is it again the Lucas affair that bothers them? He is dead. Perhaps you have not seen the bloodied hand at the bottom of the screen when Harry was looking down the building in episode 1.

Why would Ruth betray Harry? Out of revenge for his 30 years-old affair with a probable Russian double agent? Out of revenge for the loss of George and Nico? I thought that we finally got rid of them.

She is a brilliant analysist and wants to know what's Harry hidding. She knows that there is more to Harry's past than Sasha. A very dirty secret would be the death of agents because Harry got involved with Elena. She also wants to find out who is the impersonator. She is going to investigate Harry's past to pinpoint exactly what went wrong. If she finds some dodgy dealings that would threaten the realm , she will confront Harry and if she does not get any satisfying answers, she will contact the HS.

I do not think that Kudos would destroy Ruth's character. It might can a surprise to some, but she is nearly more beloved than Harry. Kudos is thinking bottom line and the sale of their DVDs. As we heard over and over, Harry's past might destroy Harry and Ruth and by that not only their love but the trust between them. The impersonator wants the total destruction of Harry, both professionally and emotionally.

Who could have so much hate towards Harry?

A few plot holes aside, I loved this episode. It seems like there’s cause to suspect almost everyone in the show of at least SOMETHING at this point in time. Just the way it should be two episodes in, I guess! I look forward to going increasingly insane over the next four weeks trying to work out who the big baddie/s is/are, only to inevitably get it wrong as always.

Another superb episode with so much going on. How poignant was that moment when Harry asked Elena what sort of person Sasha was and the scene cut to Sasha strangling his colleague in a similar style to Harry murdering Adam's killer. Talk about like father, like son! I'm sensing Elena is setting Harry up and don't trust her motives one bit.

I've got no worries about Ruth's involvement because she's just doing what she's always done like a terrier with a bone, she's not going to let go. Harry won't discuss Sasha with her so she finds other means to get to the bottom of things. I wouldn't be surprised if she plucked a hair from Sasha's head at the first opportunity and organised a DNA test!

I found myself willing Martha to get away from the Russians and then felt her utter betrayal when Harry told Erin to burn her. Harry's still capable of being ruthless inspite of his emotional turmoil and just for one second I didn't like him at all. On the other hand we had Gavrik being genuinely concerned about Martha's gran in the nursing home and Erin's obvious struggle as she paid her off and left her to her own devises. Those writers know how to set my emotions into a spin!

As for Tariq, well that hit me the way Colin's murder did. Frontline spooks know the risks but techies shouldn't expect to get killed so it was all the more sad.

I made the mistake of switching on to ITV+1 for Downton Upstairs/Abbey Downstairs at 10pm. No contest, Spooks wins hands down!!
