RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Yeah, I'm not criticising Harry for lying to Lucas as he has extremely valid reasons for doing so, but my point is that Lucas is likely to take a much less magnanimous view of it - he'll see it as a personal attack on his trustworthiness, which of course, it is. So it will add to the already existing tension between Harry and Lucas.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Hmmm, I suppose so... But it's all Lucas's fault, don't blame Harry! lol, guess whose side I'm on. It isn't exactly an attack on his trustworthiness, but I agree that Lucas will see it as that. Harry just trusts Ruth more, which I suppose could be an insult to Lucas, but I think Lucas will eventually see that in the end, after a heated argument...

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
I only skimmed over the previous posts so sorry if I am repeating someone
But I loved this episode, the ending was amazing! And makes me so sad I am going out on Friday so I will have to wait a whole week til the next ep!! Almost tempted to stay in and feign illness lol I really hated the sarah character at the start of the series but know she is very interesting and I can't wait to fiind out what she is up to!! Just hope she doesn't hurt Lucas lol I always seem to like the characters that are the 'bad guys' though lol like I loved Juliet (must say something about my own character haha) But it seemed strange that she just threw him over the rail like that, I thought there would be at least somebody around, and what about CCTV? Anyway this is my first proper post lol so I hope it makes sense and I have not rambled *too* much haha
Death by mascara. It was horrible to watch. Ruth's agonizing over the fact that there are no more horses in modern-day warfare and Adam's on a course learning how to lift his knuckles off the ground. So, you'll have to make do with me, I'm afraid. |

I don't think you've rambled at all lol ! I agree Sarah is turning into quite an interesting character. You just can't be sure which or whose side she is on. I don't think CIA headquarters would have CCTV, after all you can't imagine the grid having it!

I don't think she has any affection for Lucas, to me, her look at the last scene was to show us she was totally lying and manipulating Lucas and also to show us how cold and calculative she can be, she's just seen how weak Lucas remained after everything that's happened and found the perfect oportunity. Quote:So we've gone from hating Christine 2.0 to thinking it's just a superb piece of acting? Not really , in the first 2 eps I've been trying to figure out what was she aiming to - not saying Genevieve is a bad actress, only I didn't quite get the way she portrayed her character - by this ep, my theory is she overacted the cold-I-won't-be-charmed-by-that-look-and-smile ( ) CIA agent looking emotionless in her scenes and now that her character is giving little clues as to her personal agenda I'm starting to see some expression on her face, even if it is "I'm a heartless ----" expression. I agree Harry has his reasons to distrust Lucas but inevitably it'll won't help their relationship. At some point in Harry's scenes I got this feeling of oddness from him but I immediately dismissed it, if I can't trust Harry...I mean everything can fall apart but no Harry, everyone can die but not him (and Lucas better not get himself killed either!), he can't have a double agenda, I feel if we found out he's involved with the bad guys we won't have Spooks 9. RE: Episode 4 Discussion
In this episode I have really warmed to Ros (I never really liked her in the past). There was several instances where she 'protected' Lucas from Harry and actually sided with Lucas by believing the bomb threat was real. I love the way Lucas/Ros relationship is developing, it is good to see a friendship building without any sexually undertones.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Did you notice there are lots of scenes where Tariq is just sitting at his computer looking at people without doing anything, even turning his head round to watch them walk away. Is he gathering information? Or perhaps he's still feeling like the new boy.

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Tariq does manage to be on screen with nothing to do a lot of the time but, as I remember, that happened with Malcolm, too.

Malcolm always seemed to be doing something, I thought. He always had a role.
