Brothers, Robert is the elder I believe.

Ah, Captain Harville. I'd agree that Robert's grown into his looks. The same can be said about Phil. Actually I've known of Rob's tv/theatre work since 1980 when he was in Sink and Swim. However I never knew of Phil's existence until Life on Mars.

OK, I'm finally getting around to watching series 8. I'm up to series 3. I'm really liking the Home Secretary's increased presence in series 8.

RE: Robert Glenister
I have just been rewatching them all, up to series 6 now and although I think he is great as HS, I do not like his character in this series - comes across as a right political "watch my own back " twerp I think Harry needs to smack his legs at times !
another thing, when Harry picks up the phone and says "get me the home secretary on a secure line" it is a tad worrying to think that there may be "unsecure" lines in Thames House!!! but I like the way he says it anyway (but thats for a different thread)

RE: Robert Glenister
He is a bit of a mongrel in series 6. And the start of season 7 too actually, but he comes good.

RE: Robert Glenister
And I think he starts out in series 5 as a complete pompous...struggling to find a word that won't go to *******

RE: Robert Glenister
He wasn't that bad in the episodes 5.1/2, but he does anger me in 6.1/6.2.

I love the way Ros is totally unimpressed by him - she is way too cool.

RE: Robert Glenister
I totally disagree, mrs Harry. There's a look that the HS gives her in s7 that she certainly isn't offended by. And the beginning of series 8 there's a softenss about their relationship. She might not do as he suggests but I don't think that has anything to do with her being unimpressed.
