Yes I am up for a re-watch. There are probably episodes along the way I have only watched once so it will be good to discuss them on here.

As for a season 9, I think I mentioned on the forum about a month ago that Spooks was mentioned on the 9pm BBC news one night. It was about cutting the pay of top execs so as to have more money available to be able to make high quality dramas such as Spooks. I would be amazed if after saying such a thing on the national news only a month back, that they did not then commission another series. Surely the budget for these things is set aside months and months before.

The truth is that regardless of what they think of Season 8 (whether it's good or bad or indifferent) the strength of season 7 means that initial plans probably included what Kudos wanted to do with the show and budgeted accordingly. So if Kudos wanted it, they'll probably get it.

Yes it got that Emmy nomination didnt it. Some seasons have been better than others. I cant though quite make up my mind where 8 fits in with me. It may take a few months to be able to rank all 8 series in order of greatness. Then again if we get a little kissy betwen H/R in the next episode then season 8 will be right at the top with me (sorry, couldnt help dreaming) Angel

Yeah, if that happens, series 8 will be forever known as "The Ruth and Harry Series" and it will shoot directly to the top of the ratings. Can see the headlines now: FINALLY!!! Heart

A little off topic - but I'll chuck it here. We said at the beginning of the season that it may well be one of those that needs to be judged as a season and not as each episode. I think this season is a lot like season 3 in many ways, so we'll wait and see what the last is like. We'll definitely start a thread after the season ends to have a chat about it as a whole.

Back to season 9 (possibly): I still think we'll find out about it before the final episode airs.
