I can't get them either. Guardian Media which is my usual source has posted Thursday night's figures as being Wednesday's then skipped to Friday! Spooks may have suffered against The Royal Variety. Very frustrating. |

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
The Guardian's where I've been pulling them from. There's also a bloggist who sometimes has them up around the same time, which makes me think he's a failed hack of a reporter.
Bugger. I'd really like to know what the episode 7 numbers were. The statistician in me is displeased! Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
I've found the ratins of episode 8 BBC1:
guardian.co.uk Wrote:On BBC1, the series finale of Spooks drew 5.5 million and 23% in the 9pm hour, while school drama Waterloo Road brought in 4.4 million and 20% in the preceding hour. That's an increase! "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt" Pactum serva |

That's not as much as I was expecting... I was expecting it to break 6 million.. still, it's enough for a recommission!

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
I was a little disappointed with the final number too, but it was two days out from Christmas! That has to have a bearing on the ratings.
BBC scheduled it too late in the year, so they should take the rap on this one. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
I also was disappointed with the ratings for the final episode although it was at a particularly bad time.
In fact the programme was badly scheduled this year with some really strong opposition in the time slot. The BBC themselves seemed a bit at odds when they kept delaying the start and in fact pulling the first episode after it had been slotted. |

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
So it's all Beeb's fault that it didn't get the ratings it deserved... They did muck us up quite a lot with the dates, and it got too close to Christmas which was good for me - two good tv programs in one week, a rarity - but it wasn't good for the ratings...
DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |

From Digital Spy.
Episode 7 had viewing figures of 4m (3.99). Similar to week 6 - I don't think Wednesday was a great night for it to be aired. |

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
That's a real pity. Episodes 6 and 7 deserved better than that, they were both really good, I thought.

RE: Episode 1 Ratings
It's interesting that on the imdb website they have the "user rating" per episode for all the episodes so far broadcast. In case anyone is interested, here are the ratings for the episodes (in descending order of rating):
8.7 - 9.0 8.1 - 8.5 8.5 - 8.4 8.6 - 8.3 8.2 - 8.1 8.4 - 8.1 8.8 - 8.1 8.3 - 7.2 I notice that the episode with Jo's death got the lowest rating ever for a Spooks episode on IMDB. DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |
