I think that the situation now is different to that in series 5. Basically because there is no one there now that really cares about a R/H relationship. Lucas gives the impression of being indifferent to most things especially to do with Harry in my opinion. Ros never cared about R/H and was never really interested in their relationship (only to get revenge on Harry.) Tariq is new and so laid back that he probably hasnt noticed anything anyway.

That has given R/H some freedoms they didnt enjoy before. In series 5 you had the gossiping Jo, Adam, and Malcolm and the mischievous Zaf. In series 9 it will be interesting to see if new staff are brought in, and how this may effect the R/H relationship/interaction on the Grid.
