I don't remember anything except the death either. The way that battered woman turned on Helen when they were trying to help her was creepy, although most likely reality.

Helen was still alive after the incident and they shot her to put her out of her misery. That was as horrible as her torture.

The actress who played the battered woman showed up in the episode where Tom was tested for leadership. She was the woman they sent outside to get some info. I was surprised they would use the same actress.
