"Hair and teeth" line -- I laughed again! Like the story's set up and their continued uneasiness around each other -- so true to (their) life.
I wanted Ruth to be angrier for longer, not to just accept his explanation for why he hadn't told her directly about the conference -- he takes her for granted and she needs to call him on it.
