Definitely bemusement, but I do think that something could go on between them. There was a story (yes, most of my Spooks anecdotes are about fanfic) where it described Malcolm and Connie being married, and how Connie would try to provoke an argument out of Malcolm, and he'd just say 'yes dear' and they'd carry on. In my mind, that's how Ros' relationship with the HS would work.
