I totally understand what you're saying, lwhite53. It was a line I hesitated over a lot. My argument is that in that moment, for Ruth, being upset with Harry for not making a move in the car, and generally upset about everything, it seemed appropriate.

It's also something I've noticed in many really clever women.

Most importantly, it was a nice set up to a line I really liked.

I do get what you mean. I think Ruth has a love/hate relationship with it sometimes, especially since coming back. It was what led her to Five in the first place and what led to her downfall in a way too which meant she had to leave.
