I think he really respects reluctant bravery. There are some people who thrive on adrenaline and risk, and Harry enjoys that thrill of the chase, as did Adam or Ros. But for people like Bowman, thye fear is crippling. Harry recognizes service and patriotism that is untempered by false rhetoric but rather the simple actions of a man trying to protect his company and his country.
But he did obviously respect and like him anyway. Perhaps because of Harry's father and brother being bankers they had a long standing friendship and trust. Bowman's bank was a family one, and it's possible that he and Harry knew each other in younger, college days. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |
