I've never seen anything from Harry that would suggest that he would hang one of his people out to dry if things went wrong, as long as what they did were done on his orders. So I think he would have supported and protected Adam as much as it was in his power to do so. But you're right that the only one that comes out of it looking decent is Danny. And for that he gets killed in the next episode!
