Home Run - Chapter 2

I finally had the time to read both chapters back to back and I'm loving it. Print-out-and-keep stuff. Very intense writing, to a point where feelings and thoughts get almost tangible. I can feel the scenes in my head but could never explain what they're doing in there
Ever since first watching 8.1 I thought the scene needed follow-up.. hadn't thought about an AU version though but it makes it all the more interesting.
Fascinated by Ruth's admission that Harry is still in her dreams almost every night but she makes the conscious decision to not let him invade her every waking moment... And old, tired, mellowed (?) Harry finally realising that Ruth has moved on and that he might have lost her forever (I suppose you'll put that right eventually? ) .. the urge to see her with her 'happy' family, despite himself.. brilliant.
I might not be known as the biggest H/R fan (or at least H/R fanfic fan.. because most of them get too soppy or graphiy for my liking) but I'm eagerly awaiting chapter 3.
