Yep, cliched is just the word.

And I really didn't/don't like Bloom. Regardless of the fact that he's blatantly untrustworthy from the start, steals all the action bits from Martha, stabs someone in the leg (and gets away with it!!!), is hand in glove with criminals, and nearly got Martha killed, he's just so wooden. Perhaps that's the actor, I don't know (although apparently he's really good in one of the other things he's done, so perhaps not) but there does not seem to be any variation whatsoever in him.
