RE: Series 9 Episode 1 discussion

I actually laughed a lot in this episode, more than I would usually, especially for a season opener. You know I love my JA, so it will come as no surprise that I had the same thought. It jarred me and I thought, Oh, God Almighty, here it is! Please - don't screw it up! It did kind of turn into Darcy's botched first proposal when he asks Lizzy for all the wrong reasons. I was laughing a lot, too. There are some great sound bites and one liners in this episode. I am so happy to have the humor back and I hope it remains as consistently present as it was in this first ep. I loved the one from the new HS about lining the walls with mink and Ruth line about Dimitri and swimming with sharks for fun. I also kind of feel like they put a bunch of trampolines out for each characters and we will now get to watch them bounce from trampoline to trampoline. There are a lot of really good set ups and starting points. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |
