A beautiful fic, Silktie. Seemed very true to the characters and I loved the Harry and Scarlet bit. My favourite lines amongst the many were:
"He catches her eye, and for a moment his mask slips, giving her a glimpse of the sea of sadness threatening to overwhelm him. She thinks it is deep enough to drown everyone in Thames House if the dam should break". Hope you visit schmaltzville more if this is the result!!
