Loved the episode, of course.
But I don't understand how Nicholas Blake was with Nightingale. At the beginning of series 8 it was Blake that warned Harry about a meeting in Basel. If you're involved with some secret group like Nightingale surely you wouldn't go and tell Harry Pearce and simply hope he wouldn't find out. But it was an excellent scene.
