I think the better way for Kudos to draw a line under the H/R thread would have been to marry them off and have them working together as normal, but as a married couple, just like Adam and Fiona. Or even as a couple living together. We could still have lovely H and R moments and also had the spats, and the tension when one was in danger. If only - sigh! I'm a huge H/R fan, but I ask you, as a writer (which most of us here are) would you go for the 'happily ever after' when the 'beautifully tragic' is practically writing itself in right front of you? My only consolation at this point is that none of my predictions about the show to date have been correct. Here's hoping... |
