Thanks all for the lovely welcome. I certainly picked a good time to join, episode 4, series 9 has been stimulating to not just me.

I was an avid Spooks watcher for series 1 and 2 although only a occasional one until series 7. It was not a big success in Australia and relegated to late night movable time slots after series 1 and 2, and I never quite got hooked enough to follow it around after the Tom Quinn story concluded.

I have Richard Armitage to thank for bringing me back to Spooks and my username Elphie comes from what hit me about him when I saw RA in North and South. His eyes remain a crucial part of his work for me, especially when he plays a well defined role where he can confidently inhabit the character, sometimes a bit difficult with Lucas who has been an iffy character from the word go, and who gets to do some strange things it is a bit hard to believe in.
