I like Season 3 very much, although it didn't do well ratings wise. Ruth slowly develops as a character, and Tom's write-out was very moving for me - in some ways, the most affecting of the show so far. I sympathised with the idea of "this [spy] thing leaving [him]". It also set the precedent of female stars being written out for pregnancy!

Danny leaves the show in a very mature, powerful way - he dies with dignity in a way that other leads

don't get. And it's a nice contrast with the Danny of season 1, he's grown up so much. I love the way Ruth and Danny form a special bond after Zoe leaves.

I love the Andy Serkis episode because it starts as such farce - the rip off Lindbergh storyline crossed with Kurt Cobain and a bit of Posh 'n' Becks thrown in for good measure. And then it disintegrates into thorough tragedy. And it gives real insight into Adam and Fiona's relationship which is still new to the audience.

And how great is it that the club is called Hole? A not so subtle nod in Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain's direction....
